About the Speaker

Dr. Rossella Pescatori is an accomplished academic and educator with a robust background in Italian studies, art history, and philosophy. Holding a Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, she has dedicated over two decades to teaching and enriching the understanding of Italian language and culture at various institutions, including El Camino College and Long Beach City College. Dr. Pescatori has played a pivotal role in developing Italian language programs and has led educational abroad summer programs in Italy.

Her scholarly contributions extend to a range of publications, including books and essays that explore themes in Renaissance literature and culture. As an editor and translator, she has worked on significant projects, translating important cultural texts and critiquing educational materials for language proficiency assessments. Dr. Pescatori is also actively involved in professional organizations and community services, promoting Italian heritage and supporting cultural education through various initiatives. Her multilingual proficiency and commitment to innovative teaching methodologies make her a distinguished figure in the field of Italian studies.
