El Camino City College offers Italian 1 and Italian 2 online.

ITAL-1 Elementary Italian I (5 Credits)

This course introduces students to speaking, listening, reading and writing linguistically appropriate Italian. Students are also introduced to the cultural background of the language, including the relationships among cultural practices and perspectives and general aspects of everyday life. Technological support may include videos, DVDs, audio CDs, and Internet access to publishers’ websites for tutoring and other support. Note: This course is comparable to two years of high school Italian.

ITAL-2 Elementary Italian II (5 Credits)

This course, taught within the context of Italian culture, is a continuation of the study of elementary Italian with an emphasis on listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students improve their pronunciation and speaking skills along with their understanding of spoken Italian. Computer programs and audio and video tapes are available to reinforce the language skills acquired in the classroom. Note: The prerequisite for this course is comparable to two years of high school Italian.

Requisites: Italian 1 with a minimum grade of C or equivalent – Must be completed prior to taking this course.

16TH CONFERENCE OF ITALIAN RESEARCHERS IN THE WORLD

ARIM, the Italian Association of Researchers in Mexico, together with the Texas Scientific Italian Community under the auspice of the Embassy of Italy in Mexico hosted the 16th Conference of Italian Researchers in the World this past April 9, 2022 in Mexico City, Mexico.

The Conference was open to Italian researchers working abroad in different fields of science, technology, law, medicine and humanities. The Organizing Committee also welcomed researchers from all countries working on topics related to Italy.
