assieme all’Associazione “Save Venice”, l’Ambasciata d’Italia a Washington ha avviato una campagna di solidarieta’ per Venezia, che come sapete è stata colpita da una inondazione che ha gravemente danneggiato parte del suo patrimonio artistico e culturale.
Savevenice.org e’ una associazione americana nonprofit interamente dedicata alla tutela del patrimonio artistico e culturale di Venezia dal 1971. Negli anni, questa associazione ha promosso il restauro di oltre 500 opere.
L’idea e’ quella di dare maggiore diffusione possibile a questa iniziativa, che permette tra l’altro di fare donazioni completamente tax deductible.
Noi stiamo pubblicando l’allegato materiale sui nostri social. Sarebbe bello che l’iniziativa diventasse virale, anche perche’ qui a LA (complice anche il Festival cinematografico) la citta’ di Venezia è molto amata da tutti.

In honor of Italian Language Week in the World, Fondazione Italia, in collaboration with the Italian Consulate General in Los Angeles, is proposing our 3rd annual fun video contest that will showcase kid’s creativity and Italian language ability.
The 19th Annual Week of the Italian Language in the World! This event is promoted yearly by the cultural and diplomatic network in the third week of October (Oct. 21 – Oct. 27). The week focuses on a theme that acts as the leitmotif of a vast cultural program to promote the diffusion of the Italian language. This year’s theme is the “Italian Stage”.
Students in grades K-12 are asked to create a video in Italian that
is a mini language lesson where they teach their audience about their
favorite Italian city, food, tradition, song, phrase, film or person.
The possibilities for kids to talk about what they love about the
Italian language are limitless! Contestants may also create a video
around this year’s theme, “The Italian Stage.”
Participating student must be enrolled in K-12
Video must be in Italian
Video cannot exceed 3 minutes
Video with group of up to 4 students okay
Video submitted should be in MP4 or QuickTime format
Cash prizes will be given to three winners who will each be chosen from below age groups.
One first place winner for K-4 – $50
One first place winner for 5-8 – $50
One first place winner for 9-12 – $75
All submissions will be viewed by a panel of judges.
Only a few days left to apply for the 2019-2020 NIAF on Campus Fellowship! The application closes on Friday, September 13 at 11:59 PM EST!
The program is intended for future leaders who self-identify as active in the Italian American community through their choice of study, their participation in on-campus Italian Clubs, and their grassroot efforts. The ideal candidate is active in his or her college or university’s Italian or Italian American student-run organization. Each Student Fellow will have access to networking opportunities, and a ticket to NIAF’s 44th Anniversary Gala. The duration of the Fellowship is from Fall 2019 to Spring 2020.
